These terms apply when an organisation (“Customer”, “you”) subscribes to, licenses or uses a software product of ABT Dev Services (Pvt.) Ltd. (“ABT”): Qalamora (school management: web, mobile app and School Server), DishRoute (restaurant management: web, staff app and Restaurant Server) and MandiKhata (Mandi trading and ledger system). Each product’s website and order form may add product-specific terms, plan limits and prices; where they differ from these terms, the product-specific terms prevail for that product. By signing up, paying, or using a product you accept these terms on behalf of your organisation. Effective date: 27 October 2026.
1. Accounts
You must give accurate organisation and contact details and keep them up to date. The account owner is responsible for the users they invite, the roles they assign and all activity under the account. Keep passwords confidential, use two-factor sign-in where offered, and remove access promptly when a staff member leaves. Users must be old enough to enter into these terms or be authorised by your organisation; student and guest accounts are created under your responsibility.
2. Licence
While your subscription or licence is active and paid, ABT grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the product for your organisation’s internal operations, within your plan’s limits (such as students, branches, locations, users, storage and messages). You may not resell, sublicense, copy, modify, reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the product, bypass licence checks or plan limits, or use it to build a competing product, except to the extent the law expressly allows.
3. Plans, trials and billing
-
Plans, prices and limits are shown on each product’s website or your order. Prices are in Pakistani rupees unless another currency is stated, and exclude applicable taxes.
-
Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until cancelled.
-
Free trials, where offered, last for the stated period and convert to a paid plan only if you choose one.
-
If you exceed a plan limit, we will ask you to upgrade or reduce usage; we do not delete data to enforce a limit.
-
We give at least 30 days’ notice of any price increase. It applies from your next renewal after the notice period; yearly prices are fixed for the year already paid.
-
Refunds and cancellations follow our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
4. Late payment
If a renewal is not paid, a grace period of 7 days applies, during which the product continues to work and we send reminders. After the grace period the account becomes read-only: you can view and export data but not add new records. If the account remains unpaid for 60 days after it becomes read-only, we may close it after a final notice, and data is then handled as described in section 9.
5. Your data
You own all data you and your users enter into a product (“Customer Data”), including student, guest, staff, customer, supplier and financial records. ABT processes Customer Data only to provide, secure, back up, support and improve the service, on your instructions and as described in our Privacy Policy. Each customer’s data is logically separated from other customers’ data. You are responsible for having a lawful basis and any consents needed to enter Customer Data, including parental consent for students where required, and for the accuracy of your records. We may use aggregated, de-identified usage statistics that do not identify you or any individual to operate and improve our products.
6. Support access
Our support staff access Customer Data only to resolve an issue you raise, to maintain security, or where the law requires it. Where a product provides support-access controls, we access your data only after you grant access, and the access is logged. Our team is bound by confidentiality obligations.
7. Availability, maintenance and changes
We aim for the cloud editions to be available at least 99.0% of each month, excluding scheduled maintenance, which we perform outside peak hours where possible and announce at least 48 hours in advance when downtime is expected. Plans with a contractual SLA receive the service credits stated in that plan. We improve products continuously; we may add, change or remove features, but we will not remove a core feature of your paid plan during a paid period without offering an equivalent or a pro-rata refund.
8. On-premise and desktop editions
-
Qalamora School Server and DishRoute Restaurant Server are licensed per installation for the licence period. They run on hardware you provide and manage, which must meet the published requirements.
-
The server needs an internet connection periodically for licence checks; if a check is missed beyond the stated deadline, the system may become read-only until it reconnects.
-
You are responsible for the computer’s security, power, network, Windows updates and for keeping backups (the server provides scheduled backups and a recovery kit; keep a copy off the machine).
-
Updates are provided during the licence period. ABT is not responsible for data loss caused by hardware failure, tampering, or failure to keep backups.
9. Export and deletion
You can export your data in standard formats while your account is active and for 30 days after it ends. After that, Customer Data is deleted from live systems and removed from backups as they expire, normally within a further 90 days, unless the law requires us to keep it. On request we confirm deletion in writing.
10. Third-party services
Products can connect to services such as WhatsApp Business, SMS gateways, email providers, payment gateways (for example JazzCash, Easypaisa, bank transfer or card processors), cloud storage and AI providers. You may need your own account with those providers; their fees and terms apply, and messages or payments are subject to their availability. ABT is not responsible for their outages or decisions, but we will help you diagnose integration issues.
11. Acceptable use and security
You must use the products in line with our Acceptable Use Policy and applicable law, including laws on messaging and marketing consent. Tell us promptly about any suspected unauthorised access. We will notify you without undue delay, and in any case within 72 hours of confirming a security incident that affects your Customer Data, with the information you need to meet your own obligations.
12. Mobile apps
The Qalamora and DishRoute mobile apps are part of the subscription and may be distributed through app stores, as installable web apps or as direct downloads. App store terms also apply to downloads from those stores. Apps may require a minimum operating-system version and periodic updates.
13. Suspension
We may suspend access, with notice where reasonable, if an account is used unlawfully, threatens the security or stability of the service, breaches the Acceptable Use Policy, or remains unpaid as described in section 4. We restore access once the issue is resolved.
14. Warranties and liability
We will provide the products with reasonable skill and care and substantially as described in their documentation. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, the products are provided without other warranties, and you remain responsible for your operational, financial, academic and legal decisions, including checking fee, salary, ledger and tax figures before relying on them. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or loss of goodwill. ABT’s total liability under these terms in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid for the affected product in those 12 months. These limits do not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, or liability that cannot be limited by law.
15. Term and termination
These terms last while you use a product. You may cancel at any time as described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Either party may terminate for a material breach not cured within 15 days of notice. Sections on data, export, liability and disputes survive termination.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Disputes are first escalated to senior representatives for 30 days, then referred to the courts at Lahore, unless a signed order form provides otherwise.
17. Contact
Product support: support@abtdevservices.com. Billing and contracts: contact@abtdevservices.com. Each product’s website also lists its own support channels.
